At the time I write this, it has been 9 years since we started our journey of obedience to live debt-free, and it has been 8 years since we started our benevolence account and giving on purpose lifestyle.
It has also been 6 years since we were dipped into years of living in "poverty", and it has been 1 year since we have been living significantly above that poverty status.
We still have many financial victories on the horizon as we are still having various challenges and opportunities to grow in this area.
However, I do believe we have seen, learned, tried, and practiced enough to know without any doubt that when God's children take Him at His Word in regards to their finances, they will have what Jesus paid for them to have.
But, when they do not know what was purchased for them, and they do not know it is rightfully theirs, they will not fight the good fight of faith to receive it.
When they do not fight, they will lose it.
Out of ignorance they resort to less than they were meant to be and have and as a result others look at their "Christian life" and do not strive to mimick them - ultimately not being attracted to the gospel of Jesus Christ through that child of God's example.
"And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and
given Himself for us,
an offering and a sacrifice to God
for a sweet-smelling aroma."
Ephesians 5:2 NKJV
It is my intention and sincere hope to spark hope and faith in Christians who are seeking the truth to the degree that they too will be set free in the area of finances, so that they too can give to others out of their faith and abundance and attract more to the gospel of Jesus Christ through their lifestyle.
"Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you.
Consider the outcome of their way of life
and imitate their faith." Hebrews 13:7 NIV

Who wants to be sad, sick, and broke for the sake of glorifying Jesus Christ?
How does that bring glory to Jesus Christ?
You suffering for His name's sake does not mean you eliminate all the blessings from your life He paid with his life for you to have. I believe it means you suffer in ways for His name to have a good reputation, credibility, etc.
Die to yourself (that's daily suffering for sure). Be willing to stand up for Him in adverse situations and give when you are called to give (according to the need).
